Downhill

Downhill is hardly ever shown drama by Alfred Hitcock. The film is a variation of his usual "wrong man" -theme, replacing crime with pregnancy. This story of pride and fall is educational and functional, and technically one of the finest of early Hitchcock. Ivor Novello, probably the biggest movie star of the era, handles his role perfectly.
