This unknown masterpiece of Polish silent film era is a tale of a young country boy Janko, whose heart and soul is only filled with music. The road to success is long and rocky, and very few gets to the end of it. But, as long as there are dreams, there is life. The impressionist visuals peak on the countryside sequences, showcasing the top visuals of silent film. This gem of the 2016 Le Giornate del Cinema Muto –festival is most likely having it’s premiere in Finland.

The function of Forssan Mykkäelokuvayhdistys is to make silent film recognized and appreciated. The association has repaired, and still maintains one of the oldest functioning movie theaters in Europe (1906). The theater has been digitalized to suit today's challenges.
