The Last Warning

The final film of German Paul Leni, The Last Warning is superbly shot horror comedy, where a murder of a famous actor is solved. Leni, being one of the most important directors at Universal, was considered to direct the upcoming Dracula. However a blood poisoning originating from an infected tooth took him to an early grave. Final Warning is not only a predecessor to American horror films of the 1930s, but a testament to unbelievable filming tricks of the silent era.
