Captain Blood

Captain Blood is a film hidden in the shadow of the more famous Errol Flynn version with sound. Doctor Peter Blood is imprisoned for his part in a mutiny against the king. Faith leads him to Barbados, where he becomes the most feared pirate and wanted outlaw. This two-hour long sea adventure is one of the unknown masterpieces of silent film, surpassing both The Sea-Hawk (1924) and The Black Pirate (1926).
